Pogoplug

We’ve followed Pogoplug closely since they first launched in 2009. In that time they’ve built, sold and shipped 3 versions of the Pogoplug device. In essence, Pogoplug allows customers to create their own personal cloud. Any external hard drive or computer can be accessed remotely using Pogoplug devices and software.  Some of the key features that Pogoplug allows consumers to do include:

• Stream your music, photos and movies from your home PC or external HDD to your mobile phone or another computer
• Access and download your files from anywhere
• Share large files with other people

Moving into the 2nd half of 2011, Pogoplug was looking for a new PR firm to help them launch their Premium Software product. DRSmedia engaged with Pogoplug on June 1st, started working on positioning and messaging for the new product, and on June 22nd, we launched the new software in the US.  The reception in the press was outstanding, with great coverage from technology publications like Slashgear, Engadget, Technologizer, Macworld, Techcrunch and many others.  Downloads have been impressive, and have held steady since the launch.  Cloud Engines (the parent company) and their suite of Pogoplug hardware and software products offer outstanding technology and amazing consumer value.  We’re privileged and excited to work with the Cloud Engines team.
