In June 2009 Stage Two signed VUDU as a client. That June we announced VUDU’s relationship with LG, and launched their new business model as an embedded service. From June 2009 through June 2010, I was directly responsible for all marketing and PR for VUDU, including the media launch efforts around new products and new partnerships with companies like LG, VIZIO, Samsung, Mitsubishi, Toshiba, SANYO and Sharp. I also ran their review program, which resulted in a print review by David Pogue of the NYT, as well as online reviews with CNET, Engadget, Variety, Revision 3 and many others.
During my time working with VUDU we saw print and online coverage with wide ranging publications like the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, the LA Times, WIRED Magazine, the Hollywood Reporter, Engadget, Gizmodo, CNET, and many more. In February 2010 VUDU announced their acquisition by retail giant Walmart.
